Extension announced for AN’s 2024 Best of Design Awards

Submissions are open from now until September 25, 2024

The Architect’s Newspaper’s 2024 Best of Design Awards has been extended. Submissions are now open from now until midnight ET on September 25, 2024.

Best of Design is AN’s annual program honoring the best built and unbuilt work across typologies: facades, landscapes, interiors, museums, universities, and more. This year, the program is open to international firms and projects. As such, the 2024 jury is bigger than ever, including Joshua Aidlin, Katherine Darnstadt, Omar Gandhi, Walter Hood, Li Hu, Alexandra Lange, David M. Powell, and Mónica Rivera.

Submitting will not only get your work in front of this stellar jury, but also winners, honorable mentions, and editors’ picks will be elevated amongst our audience of 1 million architects and designers with features online, in print via our Best of 2024 issue, and on social media. Winners will then receive an archival and signed print from Archigram. Plus, awards entries as a whole will continue to be a resource for the editorial team as they plan future coverage.

New to the 2024 edition is also a designated project category for Emerging firms. To help uplift these young studios, defined as studios founded within the last 5 years, AN offers a discount of nearly 50 percent off. Use code EMERGING at checkout to receive this emerging discount. Students also recieve an automatic discount when registering with their school email address and submitting under the student category.

The submission process is quick—requiring only a project description (up to 150 words), a list of collaborators, and up to six images—so there’s still time to get entries in ahead of the upcoming deadline—and be named as the final Best of Design Awards category, Project of the Year.
