Facades+ is the premier U.S. conference on high-performance building skins. Founded in 2012, the event travels to cities across North America, assembling leading architects, engineers, and enclosure manufacturers.

Each conference features a full day of expert-led presentations, punctuated by periodic networking breaks, as well as a building product exhibition hall. Presentations range from case studies highlighting award-winning projects to conceptual roundtable conversations on sustainability and technology. The event’s program is assembled with the help of a local co-chair firm, who provides their local expertise to recruit speakers and develop prescient themes.

Facades+ has something vital to offer each segment of the AEC industry, whether you’re a contractor, engineer, developer, architect, or student. You may learn about a new construction technique or discover a new material to specify for your next project. The conference offers a plethora of networking opportunities as well: Surrounded by industry leaders you may find your next job just by walking around the expo hall!

For attending the full-day event, attendees receive six AIA continuing education credits. A complimentary breakfast and lunch are also provided.

The content presented at the conference corresponds to our regular news coverage at The Architect’s Newspaper. In particular it aligns with the weekly Friday Facades Newsletter—your go-to source for technical project case studies on the latest projects and high-performance enclosure technologies. Highlighting projects from around the world, the newsletter provides a level of technical detail and specificity unmatched by other design publications.

Over the next six months catch Facades+ in the following cities:

Philadelphia: September 19

Chicago: October 4

Toronto: October 18

Austin: October 31

Los Angeles: November 7 and 8

Seattle: December 5
