NK Architects is seeking a junior to mid-level Interior Designer with a strong interest in healthcare design.  The candidate should have experience in all phases of project design and an understanding of FFE. At NK, our collaborative approach to design is a key fundamental to our success.  We’re looking for an energetic team member to enhance a team of architects, designers and medical planners.

Your New Role:

  • Develop space plans and generate program documents
  • Research, select and specify materials and finishes
  • Provide project coordination for the finished plans, specifications and material selections required for construction
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish spaces

What you will need to Succeed:

  • 1 to 5 years of professional experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design required
  • LEED accreditation a plus
  • NCIDQ certification a plus
  • Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills, Knowledge of all aspects of interior design including space planning, programming, color and material selection, FF&E and vendor and contractor management
  • Proficiency with interior documentation and detailing, casework detailing and modeling
  • Experience with researching, selecting and specifying materials and finishes
  • Experience with furniture selection and specification
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team focused, open environment
  • Proficiency in Revit with 3D modeling skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup
  • Rhino, 3DS Max, Lumion a plus
