Syracuse University School of Architecture seeks candidates for tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor rank in Architectural Design starting in the 2018-2019 academic year. Teaching responsibilities include design studio, with a second field of expertise in history/theory, or buildings systems and technology. Faculty responsibilities include teaching design studios, undergraduate and graduate thesis advising as well as service to the school, the university and greater community. Successful candidates must possess professional experience in architectural design and demonstrate a record of recognized research that may include built work, theoretical explorations, creative work and/or scholarship in the form of publications, exhibitions and grants. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate their research interests, creative work or professional practice into their teaching. An advanced degree in architecture is required. Professional registration is encouraged.
