Over on the blog, AN has been exhaustively covering the fire that consumed the Office for Metropolitan Architecture's Television Cultural Center (TVCC), part of the firm's famous CCTV complex. The fire began last night and destroyed though did not fell the 522-foot hotel and entertainment center adjacent to the more recognizable "big pants" building. Chinese officials have said that fireworks set off by CCTV employees caused the fire.
