The EcoHome Design Awards honor single-family and multifamily homes constructed using sustainable building practices and demonstrating innovative design and thoughtful use of site and materials. Entries will be judged by an expert panel of green building professionals (a production builder, a custom builder, a remodeler, and an architect), who will consider each project’s sustainable features and product choices, certified performance, and design innovation.
Winners will be featured in the July/August 2011 issue of EcoHome magazine, a trade publication for green architects, builders, and remodelers, and on EcoHome Online.
*Note: To qualify, projects must have received green-building certification from a national, regional, or local third-party green building standard (for example, LEED for Homes, the National Green Building Standard, Energy Star, EarthCraft, Build It Green, Austin Energy, Built Green Seattle, etc.) Projects must have been completed between January 2007 and May 4, 2011.
