COMPETITIONS
Deadline :Friday, August 08, 2008

The American Federal Building in Orlando, Fl., designed by Bob Murphy, has been scheduled for demolition to make room for Orlando's new performing arts center. In an effort to preserve a piece of modern architecture in Orlando, Nils M. Schweizer Fellows | Central Florida Modern invites ideas for the re-use of the iconic building's brise soliel facade. The RBR:360 International Design Competition is an open competition and asks architects, designers, artists or any other individual interested in submitting a creative solution to participate. A Central Florida site is preferred for reuse of the facade, and three locations have been suggested on the competition's website. All 120 diamond stacked panels must be used and dimensions and images for these can also be found on the website.
